Rehabilitation Treatments

You may receive rehabilitation treatment either as an inpatient or on an outpatient basis. Your care provider will discuss your personal care plan with you. It may include:

Pediatric OT, PT, and ST treatments focus more on developmental milestones. They are generally play-based and age-appropriate to help make appointments fun for your child. They also involve you, the parent, in therapy to help you support your child at home.

Appointments are usually scheduled 2 to 3 times per week for 4 to 6 weeks. They are set at least 2 months out, so you or your child will go on the same days, at the same time each week.

Extended Care

Some people need treatment to last longer than others, based on their condition. Reeves Memorial offers a “swing bed” option for these patients.

Swing bed allows someone to stay in the same hospital room for an extended period of time until they fully recover. They will have an average of 2 to 3 hours of therapy per day.

Swing bed is covered by most insurance plans. Your provider will verify your eligibility.

Your Care Team

The rehabilitation care team has more than 30 years of combined experience in their areas of expertise. This includes experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
